PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Idi Amin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amin comes to the cage accompanied by Dangerous by Michael Jackson. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amin misses with a few strikes there.
Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown but Amin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ryan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ryan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Amin's waist but Amin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ryan off to one side.
Ryan tries for a takedown but Amin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Idi Amin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Ryan.
Amin lands a nice looking body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Amin, as that shot connected.

Amin pushes Ryan up against the cage in a clinch.
Ryan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ryan manages to pull guard.

Ryan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Amin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Amin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ryan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Amin has picked Ryan up and slammed him! Ryan can't keep hold of the triangle and Amin manages to pass to side control!
Amin wants to stand but Ryan is controlling his arm.
Ryan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ryan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Amin pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ryan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Amin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryan has his foot on Amin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amin works his way back into a safe position though.
Amin is looking to stand up but Ryan won't let him.

Amin gets to his feet - Ryan follows without any prompting.
Jack Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan misses with a takedown attempt
and Amin counters with a stiff right hand.

Amin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ryan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Amin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Amin tries to get out of the position.
Amin is looking to stand up but Ryan isn't so interested in that idea.

Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Our sources have told us that Amin has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Ryan misses with a body punch.
Ryan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Amin after a bit of a struggle.

Amin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Amin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Amin stuffs the takedown attempt from Ryan. Ryan gets slowly back to his feet.

Ryan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amin's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ryan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Amin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Amin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Amin!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Amin gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Amin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amin wants it to stay on the feet.

Amin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Amin scores with a jab to the body.
Ryan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Amin lands a glancing blow to the side of Ryan's head.
Amin is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Amin drops Ryan with a beautiful combination! Ryan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Amin is looking for the KO!
Amin is stalking Ryan. Ryan circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Amin, and it's lights out! Ryan really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
