Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Mclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McVeigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John McVeigh looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McVeigh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mclean's guard.
Mclean is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McVeigh is controlling him.
Mclean could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McVeigh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McVeigh lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mclean escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McVeigh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mclean will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning McVeigh up against the cage.

McVeigh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mclean does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well McVeigh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
