Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay tries to clinch there but Rodriguez circles away.

Clay gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Clay is working an open guard so Rodriguez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Rodriguez throws a series of punches but Clay moves out of range.

Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches.

Rodriguez gets control of Clay's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rodriguez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Rodriguez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Clay throws a big right hand that misses.
Rodriguez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Rodriguez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rodriguez has control of Clay's left arm, preventing Clay from doing any damage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rodriguez has eaten all the pies!
Rodriguez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Clay's guard.
Rodriguez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Carlos Rodriguez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Clay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rodriguez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodriguez stands up and beckons Clay to his feet.

Clay gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rodriguez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Rodriguez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rodriguez is thwarting Clay's attempts to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Clay on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Rodriguez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Clay is trying to defend but Rodriguez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Clay is rocked!

Rodriguez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Rodriguez postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Clay to stand up.

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Rodriguez slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Rodriguez lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
