Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Minh Mays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartman has chosen Sweet child o mine as his entrance music. John Cartman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Minh Mays's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Mays closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cartman's guard.
Mays wants to stand and escape but instead Cartman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mays striking off his back but it's not causing Cartman any problems.

Mays is looking for a triangle here but Cartman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Mays looks to move to half guard but instead Cartman has passed into mount! Damn!

Mays is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cartman pulls his head out easily.

Mays bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cartman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mays has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Mays tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mays has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mays working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mays goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cartman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mays but great work by Cartman.
