The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs doesn't manage to clinch there - Nepobedimyj circles away.
Briggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nepobedimyj.

and Briggs counters with a series of strikes. Nepobedimyj will be more careful next time no doubt.

Nepobedimyj shoots in looking for a takedown. Briggs tries to sprawl out of it but Nepobedimyj keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Briggs manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Nepobedimyj clinches up with Briggs and pushes him back against the cage.

Briggs is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nepobedimyj is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Briggs to the mat. Briggs regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Nepobedimyj is working Briggs over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Briggs tries to roll over but Nepobedimyj keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fedor Nepobedimyj dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nepobedimyj closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Briggs quickly recovers to half guard.
Briggs tries to get to full guard but Nepobedimyj has control of the leg.
Nepobedimyj lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Briggs misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Nepobedimyj winds up and cracks Briggs with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nepobedimyj connects with a nice short shot to Briggs's temple.
Nepobedimyj is controlling the pace.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Briggs is looking to escape.

Nepobedimyj looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Briggs with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Briggs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Briggs.

Nepobedimyj won't allow Briggs to get back to his feet.
Briggs is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Nepobedimyj dives into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nepobedimyj tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nepobedimyj has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nepobedimyj content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Briggs is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nepobedimyj lands a decent elbow from side control.
A big shot lands for Nepobedimyj! That's hurt Briggs! Will he recover? Nepobedimyj fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
