Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Skantze Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Split Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Split Rush!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skantze Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Rush, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Skantze Jr enables Rush to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Skantze Jr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rush postures up and lands a big shot to Skantze Jr's brow.
Rush really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skantze Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rush is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Skantze Jr has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rush is looking to defend but Skantze Jr has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rush! Skantze Jr pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rush taps out and this one is all over!
