Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Nicola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akau Umaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joel Nicola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Akau Umaga!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicola circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nicola leaves Umaga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Umaga is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Umaga takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Umaga avoids the body shot from Nicola.
Umaga fails with a takedown attempt.
Umaga tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Nicola is able to avoid easily.
Akau Umaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicola throws a wild body kick that Umaga sees coming a mile off.
Nicola digs a good body shot into Umaga's ribs.
A head kick misses from Nicola.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nicola feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Umaga sprawling to the canvas! Umaga rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Nicola finish him?!
Umaga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nicola throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Umaga stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Umaga attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Nicola cracks Umaga with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nicola has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Umaga to stand back up!

Umaga is rocked!
Nicola moves out of range of the leg kick from Umaga.
Umaga is still on wobbly legs! Can Nicola finish him?
Joel Nicola is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nicola works Umaga's body with a nice hook.
Umaga looks winded!
Umaga gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Nicola points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Umaga wakes up just in time to hear Nicola thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
