Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Labed Murazel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Beast could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Labed Murazel's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, The Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Labed Murazel!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast tries for a takedown but Murazel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Murazel takes a swing at Beast's ribcage but misses.
Beast moves in looking to clinch but Murazel pushes him off.
Murazel throws a right and a left that Beast avoids nicely.

Beast gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Beast gets underhooks to prevent Murazel's takedown attempt.

Beast has Murazel pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Beast pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Murazel tumbling to the mat - Beast dives into Murazel's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murazel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beast can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Beast won't allow Murazel to sweep him here.
Murazel wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Labed Murazel.

Beast gets caught napping as Murazel dives in and scores a takedown. Beast manages to retain guard.

Beast can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Murazel controls the pace.

Murazel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Murazel is keen to just control but Beast is a slippery customer.

Beast has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Murazel is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Beast is looking for a sweep. Murazel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Murazel stuffs the takedown attempt from Beast. Beast gets slowly back to his feet.
Beast fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Beast. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Beast has managed to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Murazel tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Beast obliges.

Beast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Beast displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murazel.
Murazel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Beast shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Murazel napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Murazel is not content to let Beast control the position.
Murazel tries to buck Beast off but Beast is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Beast trying to control the position but Murazel is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Labed Murazel will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Murazel is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Beast drags the fight down to the ground.
Beast knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murazel on the ground.
Murazel pushes down on Beast's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Beast wants to control but Murazel is keeping busy.
Murazel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Murazel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Labed Murazel has got the better of the ground game so far.
Beast tries to kick Murazel off but Murazel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Beast on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Beast tries to get out of the position.

Murazel is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Murazel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beast's head.
Murazel is trying to control. Beast wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Murazel is looking to take a break and control but Beast is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Labed Murazel has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Murazel throws a left and a right that both miss

and Beast counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Beast.

Beast tightens his grip and picks Murazel up, before dumping him to the ground. Murazel manages to land in guard.
Murazel trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Beast has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Beast loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Murazel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murazel is adopting a defensive guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Murazel doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Beast counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Beast.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Murazel is on top in guard.

Beast is looking for a triangle here but Murazel uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Murazel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beast does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Beast fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Murazel avoids it really well and circles away.
Beast dives in and grabs Murazel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Murazel pushes down on Beast's head and hops out.
Beast shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Murazel as he avoids it easily.

Beast takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Murazel cracks Beast with a right hand to the side of the head.
Murazel throws a front kick aimed at Beast's knee but Beast avoids it well.

Beast uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murazel.

A close second round but Labed Murazel will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Beast tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Murazel swivels and escapes.
Murazel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Beast tries to clinch there but Murazel circles away.
Beast tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Murazel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Beast displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Murazel throws out the jab.

Beast tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Murazel is in all sorts of trouble here.
Beast postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Murazel looks a forlorn figure.
Murazel wants to control but Beast is having none of it.

Murazel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Beast trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Murazel is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Murazel can't escape the position.
Murazel tries to hold on but Beast pushes him away.
Murazel is desperately trying to improve his position but Beast has a good base and remains in mount.
Murazel is squirming around, avoiding Beast's attempts to control the action.

Murazel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Labed Murazel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Beast prevents Murazel from getting the reversal.
Murazel tries to hold on but Beast pushes him away.
Beast wants to control the pace but Murazel is squirming around nicely.
Murazel is working to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Beast tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
The Beast showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Murazel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
