Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michal Materla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Green!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Materla moves into the clinch.
Materla has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Materla changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Green fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Green tries to lock up and control but Materla gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Green bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Materla is looking for a triangle but Green pushes his legs off easily.
Green would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Materla has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though.
Green wants to get up but he can't break Materla's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Materla is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Materla shoots in looking for a takedown. Green tries to sprawl out of it but Materla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Green manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Materla misses with a takedown attempt - Green sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Green is looking to control Materla's arms but Materla gets an underhook and turns him. Now Green has his back to the cage.
Green seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.

Materla is trying to trip Green. He has hold of a leg but Green is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Materla persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Materla is pushing down on Green's leg trying to pass to half guard. Green is fighting to maintain full guard but Materla has managed to sneak the leg through.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Materla has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
