Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daley Lintz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettis has chosen Limp Bizkit Break Stuff as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Daley Lintz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lintz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Lintz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pettis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lintz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pettis sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Lintz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lintz is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lintz wants to take a breather but Pettis is having none of it.

Lintz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pettis defends it well.

Pettis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lintz is controlling him well.
Pettis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lintz off and has taken his back!
Lintz breaks Pettis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Lintz trying to control the position from guard on top but Pettis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pettis can't keep his opponent in guard - Lintz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lintz is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pettis!

Pettis tries to escape but Lintz has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Pettis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lintz gets his way!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Daley Lintz dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Lintz throws a jab but it's blocked by Pettis.
Lintz throws a lazy right hand but Pettis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pettis thuds a left hand into Lintz's body.
Lintz throws a hook to the side of Pettis's head but Pettis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lintz misses with a looping right.
Antonio Pettis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lintz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pettis manages to avoid it.
Lintz throws a body shot but no joy.
Lintz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pettis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lintz.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pettis feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lintzs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Lintz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Daley Lintz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pettis strikes from the bottom but Lintz takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Pettis tries to lock up and control but Lintz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lintz with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Lintz prevents Pettis from getting the reversal.
Lintz throwing strikes here but Pettis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Pettis tries to hold on but Lintz pushes him away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lintz misses with a head shot.
Lintz looking to finish with strikes here!
Lintz looking to control but Pettis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lintz takes Pettis's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Pettis is in trouble.

Pettis is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Lintz sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Pettis has no choice but to tap and Lintz jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
