Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Canadian Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Nohara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero is looking to clinch.
Hero tries to clinch up but Nohara circles away and keeps his distance.
Hero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nohara.

Nohara shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nohara seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nohara working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Nohara might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hero haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nohara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hero pinned against the cage. Hero gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nohara circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nohara avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Nohara has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nohara is defended easily by Hero.

Hero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nohara circles away quickly and effectively.
Hero will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Hero explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hero lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hero shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nohara eats them both and turns towards Hero to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
