Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rumina Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirigaya Kazuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sudo closes the distance but Kazuto moves to the side
enabling Kazuto to counter with a crisp jab.
Kazuto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Sudo clinches with his opponent.

Sudo has clasped his hands together around Kazuto's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
You can see the frustration on Kazuto's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sudo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kazuto, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sudo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sudo tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kazuto regains half guard.

Kazuto is defending against the submission attempts here by Sudo.
Sudo prevents Kazuto from improving his position.
Sudo thows a huge punch but Kazuto dodges it nicely.
Sudo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sudo wants to pass to mount but Kazuto is defending the position.

Sudo is looking for a kimura but Kazuto is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sudo to get the leverage.

Sudo in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kazuto tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sudo!
