The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Woods makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Daren Woods has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saint Pain.
Woods dives in for a single leg takedown but Pain sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Daren Woods just wasn't active enough.

Pain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Woods doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Woods manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Woods wants to stand and escape but instead Pain has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pain stands up over Woods, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

It looks like Daren Woods has been cut.
Pain loads up on a big left hand. Woods felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Pain looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Woods can't hide his disappointment, as Pain celebrates the victory.
