Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miklo Velka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragan Dragic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Velka might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cypress Hill - Insane In The Membrane. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragic on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Dragic throws a hook but Velka blocks it.
Velka has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Warehouse in the buildup to the fight.
Velka misses with a straight left.
Dragic lands with an uppercut that bounces Velka off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Miklo Velka has been cut.

Velka sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Velka throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Velka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Velka takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dragic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dragic is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Velka had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Velka moves in looking to clinch but Dragic pushes him off.
Velka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dragic throws out the jab.

Velka looking to throw knees to the head but Dragic is blocking nicely.
Velka tries to land knees in the clinch but Dragic avoids the damage to the body.

The referee calls for Velka to work.

Dragic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Velka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dragic swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Miklo Velka will probably get the nod.

Velka manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Velka walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Dragic swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
