The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perlaza gets caught napping as Coffey dives in and scores a takedown. Perlaza manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Perlaza is trying to control the position but Coffey postures up.
Coffey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Coffey decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Perlaza, up you get!

Coffey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Coffey working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Coffey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Coffey goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Perlaza rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Coffey's guard! Nice work there by Perlaza!
Perlaza must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Perlaza wants to control from the top but Coffey keeps moving.
Coffey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Perlaza has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Coffey to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Perlaza is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Coffey pulls down on the head and he's put Perlaza to sleep! This one is all over!
