The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rand's guard.
Rand bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard.
Rand tries to stand but Johnson is controlling from the bottom.
Rand thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rand won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.
Johnson is looking for a triangle but Rand pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Rand from controlling successfully.
Johnson pushes a forearm under Rand's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rand is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
