The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marin keeps the fight on the outside.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Marin is looking to clinch but Junior is avoiding it.
Junior darts in looking for a takedown but Marin gets double underhooks and turns Junior into the cage.

We've been hearing good reports from Junior's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Junior manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marin on his heels. He'll look to pass Marin's guard now, I'm sure.
Junior slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Marin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Junior defends it easily.
Marin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Marin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Junior is working away from the top position though.

Junior goes for a double leg but Marin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marin continues to drive forward.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Junior.
