Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Money Mitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Greg Chang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Money Mitch!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chang avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chang blocks a head kick by Mitch.

Chang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mitch manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chang's best efforts.
Chang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mitch on the ground.
Chang working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Mitch's thigh. Mitch counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Chang wants to control from the top but Mitch keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Chang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mitch is looking to control Chang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mitch avoid being mounted?

Chang thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mitch tries to kick Chang off but Chang keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Mitch has hold of Chang's hands but Chang slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Chang seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mitch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Chang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mitch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mitch, as that shot connected.
A head kick misses from Chang.
Chang moves in looking to clinch but Mitch pushes him off.
Mitch is looking to clinch but Chang is avoiding it.
Mitch tries for a takedown but Chang circles away easily

and Chang counters with a takedown into side control.
Mitch is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Mitch gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Chang throws a sloppy head kick and Mitch moves out of range easily.

Mitch rushes Chang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Chang takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Chang keeps control of Mitch as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mitch goes for a takedown attempt but Chang pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mitch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mitch showed some decent athleticism there.

Chang wants to improve his position but Mitch is controlling well.
Mitch is breathing heavily.
Nice strikes from Mitch there.
Mitch slows the pace down in half guard.
Mitch looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Chang is trying to stand up here but Mitch is controlling him well.
Chang on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chang tries to get out of the position.

Chang throws a leg kick which misses Mitch's front leg but catches the back leg as Mitch tries to avoid it.

Chang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mitch keeps working.

Chang thows a huge punch but Mitch dodges it nicely.

Mitch is pushing Chang's head away, looking to escape. Chang manages to hold on to the position though.
Chang throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Chang looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mitch is avoiding damage well.
Chang grinds an elbow into Mitch's temple.
Mitch is looking to reverse the position.

Chang sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mitch is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Mitch is pressed up against the cage. Chang has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mitch down to the mat. Mitch avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chang shoots in but no luck this time.

Mitch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chang sprawls well initially but Mitch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mitch wants to stand but Chang has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Chang is looking to control Mitch's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chang avoid being mounted?
Mitch working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Money Mitch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mitch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Money Mitch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
