The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perry rushes Tom and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Perry ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Perry no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Tom pushing down on Perry's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tom is nestled in close to Perry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perry avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tom.
Perry keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Tom throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perry is looking to control Tom's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Perry avoid being mounted?
Tom thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Perry's head.
Tom has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tom is looking to take a break and control but Perry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tom lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Perry quite badly. Perry pulls Tom in close trying to recover. Tom postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Perry on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Perry doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
