Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carol Short (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Prusczek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joel Prusczek looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Carol Short!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joel Prusczek!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prusczek is trying hard to land a takedown here. Short sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Prusczek drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Prusczek jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Short has his foot on Prusczek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Prusczek works his way back into a safe position though.

Prusczek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Prusczek lands a couple of digs.
Short tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Short really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Short working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Prusczek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Prusczek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Short manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Prusczek on his heels. He'll look to pass Prusczek's guard now, I'm sure.

Prusczek is trying to force a seperation but Short has the dominant position.
Prusczek tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Short just stands there and leans against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Short just misses with a elbow thrown towards Prusczek's brow.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Carol Short.
Prusczek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Short can't do much from the bottom here.
Prusczek works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Short tries to buck Prusczek off but Prusczek is having none of it.

Prusczek grinds an elbow into Short's temple.
Short on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

You can see the frustration on Short's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Short takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Joel Prusczek.
I think Prusczek has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
