The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Overbury, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Peterson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peterson tries to clinch up but Overbury circles away and keeps his distance.
Peterson throws a series of punches but Overbury avoids them all with ease.
Overbury takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Thomas Overbury has been cut.
Peterson throws a right hand that Overbury ducks under and follows up with a left that Overbury also avoids with ease.
Overbury rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peterson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Overbury throws a head kick but Peterson moves out of range.
Peterson is looking to clinch but Overbury is avoiding it.
Peterson tries for a takedown but Overbury sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Overbury paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Overbury lands a jab to Peterson's midsection.
Peterson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Overbury forces Peterson back against the cage and clinches.
Overbury's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Overbury escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Peterson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Peterson lands with an overhand left.
Overbury looks to land a combination. Peterson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Curtis Peterson has been cut.

Nice combo by Overbury! Oh, that's hurt him - Peterson falls to the canvas and Overbury follows him into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peterson looks gassed!
Peterson tries to bench press Overbury off him but Overbury keeps the position.

Overbury stands up.
Peterson misses with a double jab.
Overbury swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Peterson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peterson walks into a straight right hand from Overbury.
Overbury lands a big uppercut and Peterson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Peterson looks OK. Overbury waves Peterson back to his feet!

Peterson is rocked!
Overbury jabs at Peterson's body.
Overbury connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Peterson! He's out on his feet! Overbury rushes in and drops Peterson with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
