Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elias Robles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexis Masters!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Darius Henderson and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Masters fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Robles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Alexis Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robles tries for a takedown but Masters sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Masters pinned against the cage. Masters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Robles slaps away a takedown attempt from Masters, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Masters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robles swivels and escapes.
Elias Robles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexis Masters.
Masters shoots in but Robles avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Robles makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Masters really felt that one!
Good leg kick by Masters there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Masters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robles pinned against the cage. Robles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Robles gets control of Masters's arms and successfully pulls guard. Robles will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Robles has an active guard here but Masters has managed to pass into half guard.
Masters wants to control but Robles is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Masters in particular looking to stall.

Masters is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Robles doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Masters.
Masters slows the pace down in half guard.
Robles wants to control but Masters is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alexis Masters has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Masters defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Robles.
Masters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Robles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Robles's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Masters connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Robles scrambles back to his feet.


It looks like Elias Robles has been cut.
Robles darts in looking for a takedown but Masters gets double underhooks and turns Robles into the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Masters is pulling down on Robles's head. It's preventing any offense from Robles, at least for the moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masters pushes Robles up against the cage in a clinch.
Masters just leaning against Robles, taking a breather.
Robles goes for a takedown attempt but Masters pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elias Robles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Masters will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Masters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Robles avoids it really well and circles away.

Masters is breathing heavily.
Masters thows a left - swing and a miss!

Masters gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Masters receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Robles prevents the takedown attempt.

Masters manages to pull guard.
Masters wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Masters tries for a takedown but Robles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robles misses with a takedown attempt - Masters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Robles slaps away a takedown attempt from Masters, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Robles goes for a double leg but Masters avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Masters continues to drive forward.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexis Masters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Robles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Masters is looking for a triangle but Robles pushes his legs off easily.
Masters is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Robles is refusing to be controlled, as Masters sits in half guard.
Masters keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Let's hope that Masters has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Robles is looking to get back to is feet but Masters passes into side control.
Masters throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Robles is trying to control Masters's posture but Masters avoids it.

Masters misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Robles trying to control but Masters flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Elias Robles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alexis Masters is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Well Masters has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
