Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Rockstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Puhovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockstar comes to the cage accompanied by Defend With Violence - Throwdown. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockstar throws a solid leg kick but Puhovin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rockstar.

and Rockstar counters with a nice leg kick.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rockstar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Puhovin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Rockstar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Puhovin.

Rockstar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Puhovin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Puhovin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rockstar wants to pass the guard but Puhovin is keeping the position.
Rockstar pushes down on Puhovin's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Rockstar stalks Puhovin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Puhovin's face. Puhovin staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Alexander Puhovin has been cut.
Puhovin shoots in for a takedown but Rockstar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A chopping leg kick lands by Rockstar.
Alexander Puhovin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puhovin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rockstar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rockstar is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Rockstar tries to bum rush Puhovin with a series of wild strikes but Puhovin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Puhovin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rockstar can pounce on him.
Puhovin shoots for a double leg takedown but Rockstar sprawls well. He's pushed Puhovin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Puhovin is breathing heavily.
Puhovin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Puhovin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rockstar is fending him off so far but Puhovin persists. Nope, Rockstar circles away and we're back to standing.

and Puhovin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Puhovin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Puhovin is rocked!
Puhovin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Rockstar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Luke Rockstar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rockstar connects with the punch.
Puhovin is still on wobbly legs! Can Rockstar finish him?
Puhovin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rockstar.
Rockstar ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Puhovin out cold! The fight is over!
