The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Nguyen closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Nguyen tries to clinch but Moss moves out of range.
Nguyen swinging wildly here.
Nguyen misses with a wild body shot.
Nguyen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Moss.
Nguyen wants to clinch up but Moss keeps it at a distance.
Nguyen lands a head kick!
Nguyen throws a one two combo.
Moss keeps the fight on the outside.
Moss avoids a kick to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Nguyen scores with a four punch combination!
Moss misses with a few strikes there.
Moss takes a shot right to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nguyen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moss swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Nguyen lands a nice looking body shot.
Moss shoots in for a takedown but Nguyen shows good takedown defense.
Moss tries to bum rush Nguyen with a series of wild strikes but Nguyen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nguyen connects with a jab.
Nguyen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Moss's head backwards.
Duy Nguyen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Nguyen.

Moss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Moss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Moss forces his way into half guard.
Moss perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Nguyen is defending against the submission attempts here by Moss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moss is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
