Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fraklin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander comes to the cage accompanied by Sweep the Leg. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gaius Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fraklin Smith!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Smith fails in his attempt to clinch.
A punch combination from Alexander misses.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alexander as he avoids it easily.
Alexander misses with a two punch combination.
Nice sprawl there from Alexander as Smith shoots in.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Gaius Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fraklin Smith.
Alexander plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Alexander fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smith.
Alexander misses with a two punch combination.
Alexander moves into range and clinches up with Smith.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith can't break the clinch.
Alexander gets underhooks to prevent Smith's takedown attempt.
Smith drags the fight down to the ground.
Smith has his foot on Alexander's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alexander works his way back into a safe position though.
Smith throws his legs up looking for a submission but Alexander uses it to pass to side control.
Smith looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alexander stands up.
Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alexander dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alexander gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Alexander breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gaius Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexander throws a nice head kick!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alexander lands a brutal head kick. Smith looks out on his feet and Alexander throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Gaius Alexander!
