Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Armstrong has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruce Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Coleman Jr!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman Jr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Armstrong has his takedown stuffed
and Coleman Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coleman Jr checks a low kick from Armstrong.
Coleman Jr tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Armstrong is able to avoid easily.
Coleman Jr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Armstrong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Armstrong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Armstrong tries for a takedown but Coleman Jr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Armstrong tries to score a power double leg takedown but Coleman Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Armstrong somewhat.

Coleman Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Armstrong has picked Coleman Jr up and slammed him! Coleman Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Armstrong manages to pass to side control!

Armstrong looks up at the clock and then as Coleman Jr takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Armstrong smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Armstrong is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Coleman Jr's shoulder. That is not cool.
Armstrong wants to control but Coleman Jr is keeping him busy.
Coleman Jr is looking to reverse the position.
Coleman Jr is still trying to improve position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Armstrong uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Coleman Jr.
Armstrong throws a lazy right hand but Coleman Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
