Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guido Cannetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Amsterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cannetti has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Guido Cannetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Amsterdam!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amsterdam gets a takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Amsterdam wants to take a breather but Cannetti is having none of it.
Cannetti could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Amsterdam is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cannetti is just riding it out for now. Amsterdam eventually gives up the hold.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Amsterdam working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Amsterdam is controlling the pace.
Amsterdam wants to advance to full mount but Cannetti doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Amsterdam missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cannetti has momentary wrist control but Amsterdam slips an elbow through the middle.
Cannetti is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Amsterdam sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cannetti's guard.
Cannetti is defending against the submission attempts here by Amsterdam.
Amsterdam passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cannetti!
Amsterdam has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cannetti's face.
Amsterdam lands a couple of good shots and Cannetti has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cannetti defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Amsterdam is working for a rear naked choke. Cannetti is not defending it well and Amsterdam has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Cannetti refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Cannetti's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Robert Amsterdam!
