Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parker Carney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Little Joe acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Parker Carney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Joe!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Joe controlling from side mount.
Carney is trying to control Joe's posture but Joe avoids it.
Carney has one of Joe's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Carney really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Carney is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Joe is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Joe thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Joe blocks Carney's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Joe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carney is looking to escape.
Carney is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Joe unloads with some shots from mount but Carney bucks and avoids them well.

Joe looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Joe looking to secure an arm triangle but Carney defends it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carney is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Joe scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Joe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Carney has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Carney is looking to improve his position but Joe isn't that keen on the idea.

Joe goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Carney turns into him and now he's in Joe's guard.

Carney is looking to work some ground and pound but Joe has wrist control.
Joe wants to sweep here but Carney controlling him for the moment.
Carney seems to have got his legs back now.
Joe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Joe is just content to waste time from the top position. Carney takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Joe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Carney tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Joe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Joe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Carney is trying to get back to full guard.
Carney is trying to maintain the position but Joe is very close to passing his half guard.
Carney is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Carney is trying to stand up here but Joe is controlling him well.

Joe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carney doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Joe.

Joe has picked Carney up - he's going for a ride! Joe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Carney is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Joe scores with a couple of nice shots.

Joe has Carney pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Joe pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Carney tumbling to the mat - Joe dives into Carney's guard.
Joe wants to control from the top but Carney keeps moving.

Carney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Joe might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Carney haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well Joe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
