Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Guy Georges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Justice Naruhodo!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naruhodo shoots in for a takedown but Georges shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Naruhodo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like Guy Georges has been cut.
Georges moves out of range as Naruhodo strikes.
Georges uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Naruhodo.
Naruhodo moves out of range as Georges strikes.
Naruhodo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Georges manages to avoid it.
Naruhodo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Naruhodo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Georges scores with a hook to the body. Naruhodo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A looping hook to the body misses from Naruhodo. Georges does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Georges tests Naruhodo's chin there with a solid looking shot.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Georges enables Naruhodo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Georges manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Naruhodo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Naruhodo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Georges's head.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Naruhodo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Georges makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Georges.
Naruhodo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Naruhodo wants to control from the top but Georges keeps moving.

Georges is looking for a triangle but Naruhodo pushes his legs off easily.

Georges is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Naruhodo throwing strikes from guard but Georges blocks nicely.
Georges looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Georges is looking for a triangle but Naruhodo pushes his legs off easily.
Naruhodo postures up in Georges's guard and throws a big left but Georges blocks it.

Georges has momentary wrist control but Naruhodo slips an elbow through the middle.

Georges has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Naruhodo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Georges working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Naruhodo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Georges is tightening it up a little... Naruhodo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Naruhodo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Naruhodo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Georges!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Guy Georges!
