Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iso Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kullervo Karvakorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Iso Susi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kullervo Karvakorva!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karvakorva misses with a looping left.

Susi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Susi is looking to advance position but Karvakorva won't allow it.
Susi is trying to control the action in half guard but Karvakorva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Karvakorva manages to get to full guard.
Karvakorva controls Susi momentarily but Susi frees himself.

Susi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Susi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Susi trying to control the position from guard on top but Karvakorva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Susi drives through with a takedown into guard.

Karvakorva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Susi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Karvakorva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Susi's back instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Susi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Karvakorva's guard. Nice work there by Susi.
Karvakorva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Karvakorva looking for a sweep. Not yet Karvakorva, not yet.
Susi wants to control from the top but Karvakorva keeps moving.
Susi wants to pass the guard but Karvakorva is keeping the position.
Karvakorva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Karvakorva striking off his back but it's not causing Susi any problems.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Susi shoots in looking for a takedown. Karvakorva tries to sprawl out of it but Susi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Karvakorva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Karvakorva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Karvakorva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Karvakorva lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Susi backwards.
Karvakorva stops a takedown attempt from Susi.
Karvakorva softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.

Karvakorva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kullervo Karvakorva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Susi takes one on the button.
Susi looks for a takedown but Karvakorva sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Iso Susi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Karvakorva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kullervo Karvakorva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Susi is breathing heavily.
Susi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Karvakorva as he avoids it easily.
Susi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Karvakorva lands a left and a right that sends Susi crashing to the canvas! Karvakorva dives into mount looking to finish!

Susi is rocked!

It looks like Iso Susi has been cut.

Oooh a big shot lands for Karvakorva! Susi is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
