The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bighead throws the left hand but Kido avoids the punch easily.
Bighead dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kido takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Bighead counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bighead throws an overhand right that lands on Kido's shoulder, as Kido tries to avoid the shot.

Bighead throws a right and a left that Kido avoids nicely.

Bighead connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kido. Kido circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kido working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bighead doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bighead manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bighead got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kido has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bighead has managed to get both his arms back between Kido's legs - danger averted.

Kido changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bighead looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kido is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bighead has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Kido has control of Bighead's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bighead regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kido moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bighead has worked his arm free - good work by Bighead!

Kido swings around for an armbar but Bighead sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kido's guard.
