PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dale Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carpenter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Won't Back Down by Fuel. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Carpenter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Carpenter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Carpenter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Williams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Carpenter has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Williams lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Williams.
Carpenter could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Williams had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carpenter is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Williams Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carpenter's back instead.

Carpenter is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Williams gets his way!
