Machine has chosen The Next Big Thing as his entrance music. Chindolly The Fast Machine has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cotton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cotton winds up and cracks Machine with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cotton goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Machine turns into him and now he's in Cotton's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cotton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Machine has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cotton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Machine.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Machine is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cotton has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
