PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anno Damang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrious Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damang kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is F***you. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Damang is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Damang circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Damang with that takedown attempt.
Damang shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
Damang looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Damang throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Damang is in Johnson's guard.
Damang is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.

Damang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Damang changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Damang keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anno Damang.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Damang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Anno Damang started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
