The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for drago on that attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
drago is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.
Jones tries to control but drago wriggling away.
Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. drago can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control drago kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
drago wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jones is now in half guard.

drago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
drago is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

drago defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.

Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of drago's face.

Jones moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, drago has worked his arm free - good work by drago!
drago stops Jones from passing to mount.

Marcus Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! drago's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jones.

Jones is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt drago will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. drago knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

drago pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, drago has managed to escape the submission attempt.

drago's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
