Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lemy Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black Label Society - Bleed for Me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lemy Waters!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Waters.
Price throws a leg kick but Waters moved away.
Lemy Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Waters misses the target.
Price throws a nice head kick!
Nice straight punches there by Waters. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Waters.
Waters chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Price looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Waters moves out of range as Price throws a body kick.
Waters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd cheers as Price lands an impressive looking overhand right. Waters doesn't seem phased though.

Price has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Waters finds it's way round the side to connect with Price's head.

Waters swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Waters throws the left hand but Price avoids the punch easily.
Waters looks to land a body kick but Price moved away.
Waters ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Waters takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Waters throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Waters lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Price throws a body shot but no joy.
Price uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Waters has time to react.

Price scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Waters doesn't seem bothered though.

Waters throws out a loose jab but Price uses good head movement to avoid it.

Price throws an overhand right that lands on Waters's shoulder, as Waters tries to avoid the shot.
Waters throws a leg kick which misses Price's front leg but catches the back leg as Price tries to avoid it.
Waters walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Price checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Price misses with a low kick.
Price throws a right and a left that both miss.
Price throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A combination from Price does no damage.
Waters scoring well with a low kick there.
Waters ducks right into an uppercut from Price.

Price dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Waters. That did some damage!

and Price counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Waters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Price avoids it really well and circles away.

Waters moves forwards but Price connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Waters looks to throw the jab but Price is out of range.

Waters throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Price sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Price displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Waters throws out the jab.

Price lands a big head kick that sends Waters tumbling to the mat! Price takes a step backwards and waves Waters back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Waters is still on wobbly legs! Can Price finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Price fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Waters manages to avoid it.
Good work by Price as he checks the leg kick.
Price buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Price cracks Waters with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Price ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Waters lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Price has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Price and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Waters misses the jab.
Price is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Price slips under a jab.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Waters shoots in and gets a takedown into Price's guard.
Waters seems to have recovered his senses.
Waters with a flurry of punches that miss.
Waters throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waters on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Price. Price obviously looking to wear him down.
Waters does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Price uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waters.
Waters's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Price throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Waters thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Price's head.

Waters is thwarting Price's attempts to control the position.
Waters is just content to waste time from the top position. Price takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Price looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Price is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Price bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Waters's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dan Price will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Waters takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Waters looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Waters wants to control but Price is keeping him busy.
Price wants to improve his position but Waters is controlling well.
Price regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Waters.
Lemy Waters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Waters throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Price works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Waters postures up in Price's guard and throws a big left but Price blocks it.
Price pulls Waters in close to his closed guard and prevents Waters from doing any damage or advancing position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Waters looking to sit in guard and control but Price gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Price wants to control from the top but Waters keeps moving.

Waters looking for a guillotine here but Price defends easily.

Waters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Price doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Waters is tightening it up a little... Price has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Price reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Price taps out! Nice BJJ there by Waters!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Lemy Waters!
