The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Garcia swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Hill to counter with a crisp jab.
Garcia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hill manages to avoid it.
Garcia misses with a low kick.
Garcia fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marcelo Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hill takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Garcia keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've been hearing reports that Garcia has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Hill lands a big head kick that sends Garcia tumbling to the mat! Hill takes a step backwards and waves Garcia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Garcia has gone for a leg lock! Hill slips out almost immediately though and dives into Garcia's guard.
Garcia seems keen to control Hill's posture.
Garcia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hill doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hill manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Garcia is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hill throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Garcia's body to avoid the submission. Garcia has instead reached around Hill's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Garcia arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
