Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mustaffa Spliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamatis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lose Yourself. Spliff has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamatis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Spliff looks winded!
Stamatis fails with the takedown.
Stamatis throws a quick inside leg kick.
Spliff tries to clinch
and Stamatis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stamatis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Spliff on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stamatis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Spliff.
Stamatis shoots in for a takedown but Spliff shows good takedown defense.

Stamatis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Spliff did well to prevent Stamatis getting side control.

Stamatis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Spliff defends it well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spliff takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stamatis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stamatis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stamatis misses with a head kick.
Stamatis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spliff defends well and Stamatis ends up having to push Spliff into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Stamatis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Stamatis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Spliff tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stamatis is in Spliff's guard.

Spliff is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Stamatis dives into side control.
Stamatis lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stamatis cracks Spliff with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Stamatis immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Spliff is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Stamatis!
