Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernardo Marcias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuteru Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcias comes to the cage accompanied by Cisco Kid. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Marcias's half guard.
Machida wants to pass to mount but Marcias is defending the position.

Machida manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marcias on his heels. He'll look to pass Marcias's guard now, I'm sure.
Marcias is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Machida is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Marcias stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machida swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marcias gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Machida looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Marcias with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
