Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Punter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Flintstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Punter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Flintstone!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flintstone shoots for a double leg takedown but Punter sprawls well. He's pushed Flintstone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Punter counters with a single leg into guard. Flintstone didn't expect that.
Punter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Punter content to stall in guard here.
Flintstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Punter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Punter is pushing down on Flintstone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flintstone is fighting to maintain full guard but Punter has managed to sneak the leg through.
Punter not doing much here.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Punter connects with a nice short shot to Flintstone's temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Punter landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Well, if Punter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flintstone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Punter lands with a punch from half guard.
Punter keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Punter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Punter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Punter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Flintstone looks winded!
Punter looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Punter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Punter slips a nice elbow through Flintstone's hands, connecting with Flintstone's forehead.
Punter is taking a breather. Flintstone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Punter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Flintstone defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flintstone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Punter is working away from the top position though.
Flintstone is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Punter scores with a couple of nice shots.
Punter is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Punter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Punter is trying to work for a kimura but Flintstone is defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Punter in particular looking to stall.

Punter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Flintstone tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Punter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chris Punter!
