The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fitzpatrick rushes Flynn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Flynn jumps guard.
Fitzpatrick postures up and lands a big shot to Flynn's brow.
Flynn lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Flynn stands and steps away. Fitzpatrick gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Horrible takedown attempt by Flynn or perhaps it was just good defense by Fitzpatrick, which made it look bad.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fitzpatrick lands a good knee to the midsection. Flynn won't want to take too many of those.

Fitzpatrick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Flynn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fitzpatrick avoids it really well and circles away.

Flynn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fitzpatrick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Larry Fitzpatrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Flynn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fitzpatrick's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fitzpatrick's back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fitzpatrick is trying to force a seperation but Flynn has the dominant position.

Flynn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fitzpatrick's guard.

Flynn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fitzpatrick dives on top into guard.

Flynn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fitzpatrick defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzpatrick working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fitzpatrick distracts Flynn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Fitzpatrick avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fitzpatrick manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Flynn on his heels. He'll look to pass Flynn's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fitzpatrick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fitzpatrick has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Flynn escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Flynn!

Flynn stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Flynn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fitzpatrick but Fitzpatrick pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Flynn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fitzpatrick tries to avoid it but Flynn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fitzpatrick to the ground. Fitzpatrick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Flynn dives in and grabs Fitzpatrick's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fitzpatrick pushes down on Flynn's head and hops out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeff Flynn will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Flynn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fitzpatrick circles away.
Flynn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Fitzpatrick goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Flynn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fitzpatrick but great work by Flynn.

Flynn has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Flynn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fitzpatrick to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Flynn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fitzpatrick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fitzpatrick is looking to get back to is feet but Flynn passes into side control.

Flynn decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fitzpatrick.
Flynn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fitzpatrick's best efforts.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
