Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Xin Xhao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Nik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Xhao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Xin Zhao - By Riot. Dom Nik is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xhao lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Dom Nik has been cut.
Xhao cracks Nik with a right hand to the side of the head.
Xin Xhao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good work by Xhao as he checks the leg kick.

Nik ducks under a wild hook from Xhao.

and Nik counters with a nice double leg into side control. Xhao won't be happy with that.

Xhao tries to buck Nik off but Nik is having none of it.

Xhao tries to work over Nik's front leg with a kick but Nik checks it.
Xhao lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nik takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nik has closed the distance and engaged Xhao in a clinch.

Nik is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Xhao is defending well.

Xhao lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Xhao.
That has opened up Dom Nik's cut even more.
Xhao is looking to clinch but Nik is avoiding it.
Xhao thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Nik if he has to take too many more of those.
Xhao lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Xhao fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nik, pushing him back against the cage.
Nik tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Xhao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Xhao connects with a single shot there.
Xhao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nik manages to avoid it.
Xhao lands with a cross.
The cut above Dom Nik's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nik tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Xhao fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Nik to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Nik looks to clinch but Xhao throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Nik taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Xin Xhao!
Xin Xhao took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Here's a tip, and a spear behind it!'.
