The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Aleksewicz wants to clinch.
Aleksewicz wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side

and Smith moves into the clinch.
Smith lands a good knee to the midsection. Aleksewicz won't want to take too many of those.
Aleksewicz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith lands a nice elbow.

Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Aleksewicz's elbow.

Oh Aleksewicz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Aleksewicz is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Smith felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
