The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vito connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hernandez's hands.
Vito scores with a three punch combo!
Vito getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A telegraphed right hand from Vito misses the target.
Vito is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vito scores with a jab to the head.
Vito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hernandez.
Vince Vito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hernandez fails to land the takedown.
Vito lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Vito.
Vito shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vito was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hernandez is pushing Vito's head away, looking to escape. Vito manages to hold on to the position though.
Vito lands a few punches from side control.
The strikes coming from Vito are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Hernandez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Vito fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Vito is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hernandez slips under a jab.
Hernandez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vito sprawls well initially but Hernandez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vito has hold of Hernandez's hands but Hernandez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Vito won't allow Hernandez to pass to mount.
Hernandez thows a huge punch but Vito dodges it nicely.
Hernandez wants to pass to mount but Vito is defending the position.
Vito is in trouble now - Hernandez has advanced to mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vito can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vito takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Hernandez's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
