Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Roads (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bud Macintosh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Roads darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Macintosh slips under a jab from Roads.
Roads just misses with a punch to the body.
Roads takes a swing at Macintosh's ribcage but misses.
Roads throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Roads fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Macintosh manages to avoid it.

Macintosh works to advance to full mount. Roads defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Macintosh uses his free foot to push down on Roads's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Roads.

I really don't envy Roads right now.

Macintosh lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Macintosh.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, with Macintosh on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Roads is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Roads swings around for an armbar but Macintosh sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Roads's guard.

Macintosh is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Roads defends it well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Damien Roads will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Macintosh has control of Roads's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Roads regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Macintosh is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Roads has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Roads breaks Macintosh's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Macintosh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Roads manages to get himself to full guard.
