Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pentos Choco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pentos Choco will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Spencer Logan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pentos Choco!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Logan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Choco gets a takedown into half guard.
Logan controlling the position well.
Choco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Logan keeps working.
Logan keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Choco is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


It looks like Spencer Logan has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Choco wants to take a breather but Logan is having none of it.
Logan is looking to improve his position.
Choco is controlling the pace.
Logan trying to hold on to Choco's head to control him but Choco postures up.
Logan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Choco throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Choco is looking for a kimura but Logan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Choco to get the leverage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Logan is refusing to be controlled, as Choco sits in half guard.
Logan has his hands clasped together around Choco's back. He's all about the action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Logan is trying to maintain the position but Choco is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Logan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Choco feints and as Logan raises his hands in defense, Choco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Choco trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Choco wants to control from the top but Logan keeps moving.

Choco loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Logan is adopting a defensive guard.
Choco wants to stand but Logan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Logan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Choco tries to stand but Logan is controlling from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Choco trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pentos Choco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Logan takes a kick to the side of the head.


Spencer Logan's cut is getting worse.
Choco is looking to land body kicks.

Logan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Choco to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Choco with a flurry of punches that miss.
Choco throwing strikes from guard but Logan blocks nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Choco scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pentos Choco dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Spencer Logan's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Logan circles away from the clinch attempt
and Logan counters with a leg kick.

Logan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Choco was covering up waiting for the punch and Logan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Logan stands up from Choco's guard - Logan perhaps looking for a knockout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Logan enables Choco to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Logan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Logan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Logan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Choco fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Logan to the ground. Choco is now in Logan's guard.
Pentos Choco has got the better of the ground game so far.
Logan has his hands on Choco's head, controlling the position.
Choco wants to get up but he can't break Logan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Logan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Logan continues to stall.

Logan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Choco trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Logan manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Choco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Logan defends well.

Logan stands and steps away. Choco gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Choco misses with a jab, cross combination.
Choco cracks the inside of Logan's front leg.

Logan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Logan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Logan drops back looking for a leg! Choco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Choco manages to kick Logan off! Logan jumps back into Choco's guard.

Choco is breathing heavily.

Logan has gone for a leg lock! Choco slips out almost immediately though and dives into Logan's guard.

Choco wants to stand but Logan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Logan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Logan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Choco missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Spencer Logan will probably get the nod.

Logan shoots in but Choco avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Choco shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Logan's guard.
Choco postures up in Logan's guard and throws a big left but Logan blocks it.
Logan looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Choco is looking to work some ground and pound but Logan has wrist control.

Choco forces his way into half guard.
Logan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Choco.

Logan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Choco decides to return to a standing position.

Choco closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Choco seems to be looking for submissions.
Choco trying to control from Logan's half guard. Logan has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Choco missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Choco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Choco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Logan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Logan wants to sweep but no luck.
Logan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Choco trying to control but Logan is working from the bottom.
Choco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Logan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Choco throws a combination. Logan tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


Spencer Logan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Pentos Choco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Choco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
