The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitschke shoots in looking for a takedown. Kim tries to sprawl out of it but Nitschke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nitschke takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nitschke takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Nitschke misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kim throws a quick inside leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nitschke is defended easily by Kim.

A nice leg kick lands there from Kim.

Kim tries a head kick but it misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nitschke misses with a head shot. Kim uses the momentum to regain guard.
Nitschke throws a big right hand that misses.
Nitschke is in close to Kim's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Nitschke is fighting to break Kim's control of his arms but Kim is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
