Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clay comes to the cage accompanied by I Can't Stop - Flux Pavilion. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay wants to clinch up but Velasquez keeps it at a distance.

Velasquez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Clay is trying to defend but Velasquez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Clay is trying to stand up here but Velasquez is controlling him well.
Velasquez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

It looks like Jay Clay has been cut.

Velasquez is working for a kimura but Clay is defending it quite comfortably.

Clay is looking for a sweep. Velasquez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Velasquez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clay with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
