Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiven Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cruz Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beck gets caught flat footed, as Bird shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bird passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

Beck looking for submissions off his back.
Beck wants to get back to full guard.
Bird tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Beck.

Bird is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bird wants to pass the guard but Beck is defending well.
Beck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bird seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Beck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bird. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bird wants to work for an arm triangle but Beck is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bird really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bird loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Beck scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Bird land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Bird stands and salutes the crowd.
