Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cm Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alen Zalac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zalac's choice of entrance music: Survival - Eminem. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zalac closes the distance and pushes Punk back into the cage.
Zalac looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Zalac wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Zalac avoids a wild elbow strike from Punk.

Punk breaks the clinch.

Oooooh!!! Zalac has knocked Punk down with a huge combo! Zalac steps away and waves a wobbly Punk back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Cm Punk has been cut.
Zalac tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Punk defends well and Zalac ends up having to push Punk into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Punk manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Punk counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Zalac!

Punk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zalac is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Punk tries to move to mount but Zalac blocks the move with his legs.

Zalac is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Punk is staying active.
Zalac tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Punk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Punk is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Zalac tries to roll over but Punk keeps him under control.
Punk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zalac keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Punk moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Zalac drops Punk with a beautiful combination! Punk stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zalac is looking for the KO!

Oh Punk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
